Mission Statement

Covenant Presbyterian Church of the Low Country in Bluffton, SC seeks to equip believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ, to live for God's glory through worshipping our holy God, through teaching biblical truth and by loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Who We Are

Covenant Presbyterain Church of the Low Country is a group of Christians in Bluffton, SC who join together in our unity in Christ Jesus our Lord to worship Him, learn more about Him through the preaching of the Word of God, and to love each other in Christian fellowship. In October 2019, the Presbytery of the Southeast of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) officially accepted our fellowship into the presbytery as a mission work.

As a mission work of the OPC, we are provided with a provisional session by the presbytery, and we are able to worship, accept members, partake of the sacraments, fellowship and participate in community outreach as a particular church would. Currently, our provisional session includes Rev. Lacy Andrews (Regional Home Missionary of the Presbytery of the Southeast), Michael Cloy, ruling elder at Reformation OPC in Gastonia, NC, Vernon Shoaf, ruling elder at Covenant Community Church OPC in Taylors, SC, and Rev. Ron Gleason, Pastor Emeritus at Covenant Presbyterian Churh of the Low Country. Click here to find out more about the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC).

We are meeting together because we are all seeking an ordinary means of grace group of believers that worships God according to His Word. Our aim is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, to edify Christians, to reach the lost with the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ, to bring the Gospel to foreign lands, and to understand what it means for us to become a covenant family and a covenant community. To those ends, we read, teach, pray, sing, and preach the whole counsel of God found within the pages of Holy Scripture. Covenant Presbyterian is a church for all ages, all ethnicities, for young and old, and everyone in between.

We warmly welcome you to worship with us on Sunday mornings and evenings (click here for worship times) and to join us for midweek evening men's and women's Bible studies. Whether you are looking for a church home or you are in town on vacation, we hope that you will come visit and worship the Lord with us.
