Mission Statement
Covenant Presbyterian Church of the Low Country in Bluffton, SC seeks to equip believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ and to live for God's glory through worshipping our holy and triune God. The ministry of the Word and Spirit is demonstrated through teaching biblical truth and by loving our neighbors as ourselves.
Who We Are
Covenant Presbyterian Church of the Low Country is a group of Christians in the greater Bluffton, SC community who join together in our unity in Christ Jesus our Lord to worship Him, to learn more about Him through the preaching of the Word of God, and to love each other in Christian fellowship. In October 2019, we became a mission work of the Presbytery of the Southeast (PSE) of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC).
As a mission work of the OPC, a provisional session is provided by the PSE. We are able to worship, accept members, partake of the sacraments, fellowship and participate in community outreach as a particular church would. Currently, our provisional session includes Rev. Lacy Andrews, Regional Home Missionary of the Presbytery of the Southeast, Michael Cloy, ruling elder who is a member at Landis OPC in Marion, NC, Rev. Mike Myers, pastor of Heritage OPC in Royston, GA, and Vernon Shoaf, ruling elder at Covenant Community Church OPC in Taylors, SC. In the spring of 2022 the Presbytery of the Southeast called Andrew Wann to be the pastor of the congregation. Visit the Our Pastor page to learn more about Pastor Wann. We meet together seeking an ordinary means of grace (Word, sacrament, and prayer) fellowship that worships God according to His Word. Our aim is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, to edify Christians, to reach the lost with the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ, to bring the Gospel to foreign lands, and to understand what it means for us to become a covenant family and a covenant community. To those ends, we read, teach, pray, sing, and preach the whole counsel of God found within the pages of Holy Scripture. Covenant Presbyterian is a church for all ages, all ethnicities, for young and old, and everyone in between.
